CCAO is pleased to offer a one-hour webinar on June 13 at 9:30 a.m. on “Structuring the Relationship Between Airport Sponsors and Operators.”
This webinar will cover some of the concerns and operational points related to airports and the business of operating them. Every airport needs to serve the aviation public in some fashion or another, and getting the right relationship between those private businesses who operate at the airport, and the airport owner, is critical for a successful combination. Inherent in that relationship is making sure that both the airport, and the operators secure a sound financial footing.
Topics to be discussed:
Overview: The Flight Plan
Competitive Bidding: The Fifty-Thousand Dollar Question
Airport Service Provider: “To be or not to be?”
Operating Standards: Great Expectations
Lease Agreements: And they lived happily ever after. . .
Speaker: An aviation lawyer since 1975, Jerry Eichenberger is senior counsel and co-chair of the aviation law practice section at the law firm of Calfee, Halter & Griswold, LLP. He first learned to fly the summer following high school graduation, and put himself through The Ohio State University as a flight instructor in OSU’s Department of Aviation. He later worked as a corporate pilot and financing packager for a large construction company while he was attending Capital University Law School. Jerry has owned a fixed base operation in addition to his law practice. He is a licensed commercial pilot, and is rated for single and multi-engine airplanes, helicopters and gliders. He is also a certificated flight instructor for single and multi-engine airplanes. He has logged over 6,000 hours of pilot time.
