Opiate Epidemic Symposium


On May 2, 2016, CCAO held an Opiate Epidemic Symposium: Strategies and Solutions. The objectives were to bring members together to share best practices, develop an educational baseline for common understanding and create a call to action. Attendees had the opportunity to hear Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Maureen O’Connor, Ohio Supreme Court chief justice, give their perspectives in the fight against the epidemic.

The symposium was held in conjunction with the statewide Ohio’s Opiate Conference: Advancing Prevention, Intervention, Treatment and Recovery on May 3 – hosted by the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities. Below are links to the presentations:
