CCAO Announces Election of 2026 President and Officers
The County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) announces the election of Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus as its 2026 President. Former Ohio House Minority Leader Fred Strahorn administered the oath of office during the CCAO/CEAO Winter Conference in Franklin County on December 4, 2025.
“It is an honor to be elected President of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio,” Driehaus said. “CCAO has long been a respected and effective voice for Ohio’s counties. As we look ahead to a year with significant challenges, I am confident that county leaders across the state will work together to protect and strengthen the essential services our residents rely on.”
Joining Driehaus in leadership for 2026 are Casey Kozlowski, Ashtabula County Commissioner, serving as First Vice President; Ilene Shapiro, Summit County Executive, serving as Second Vice President; Joe Antram, Logan County Commissioner, serving as Treasurer; and Pete Gerken, Lucas County Commissioner, serving as Secretary.
CCAO supports effective county government through legislative advocacy, education and training, and innovative enterprise service programs. By partnering with county commissioners, executives, and council members, CCAO works to improve and advance Ohio’s 88 counties—because stronger counties build a stronger Ohio.
