Description: The bill prohibits public entities from acquiring drones assembled or manufactured by a "covered foreign entity." Droves assembled or manufactured by a covered foreign entity that have already been acquired can be used until May 1, 2027, after which the public entity must cease use.

"Covered foreign entity" applies to any individual, foreign government, or party to which any of the following apply:

• Is designated on the consolidated screening list published by the U.S. Department of Commerce;
  
  
• Is domiciled in the People's Republic of China or the Russian Federation;
  
  
• Is under the influence or control of the government of either of the states above; or 
  
  
• Is a subsidiary or affiliate of an individual, government, or party that meets any of the other criteria.
