Description: The bill creates the Workforce Investment Now for Child Care pilot program to provide publicly funded child care to child care staff members. The program would automatically qualify an applicant for publicly funded child care if the child's caretaker parent is a child care staff member who works at least 20 hours per week and they meet other eligibility criteria, other than income level.

The bill appropriates $20 million in SFY 2026 and reappropriates any of the unspent funds to SFY 2027 for this purpose.
