Description: The bill requires the Attorney General to adopt rules governing the training of peace officers in emotional intelligence and requires the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission to include training on emotional intelligence in its curriculum.

The bill defines emotional intelligence as, "the ability to identify and manage a person's own emotions, as well as the emotions of others, and includes self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management."
