Description: The bill prohibits any state agency and any political subdivision to use public funds to purchase United States flags or Ohio flags that were not made in the United States.

According to the Legislative Service Commission, approximately 95% of US flags are manufactured in the United States, and the Department of Administrative Services has a contract with Ohio Penal Industries to produce US and Ohio flags. This bill largely codifies existing practice.
