Status: First hearing in House Ways and Means (February 26, 2025)

Description: The bill would eliminate the authority for taxing entities to put replacement tax levies on the ballot. Unlike a renewal levy, a replacement levy allows subdivisions to receive the benefit of any growth in property tax values that occurred during the life of the existing levy.

CCAO Position: CCAO opposed a similar bill last General Assembly.
