Status: Third hearing in House Ways and Means (March 19, 2025)

Description: The bill would provide a full homestead exemption to surviving spouses of members of the uniformed services who died in the line of duty.

Property tax exemptions under the homestead program are revenue-neutral for counties since the state reimburses local governments for the foregone revenue.
