Description: The bill requires all political subdivisions to submit data regarding their revenues and operating budgets to the Ohio State and Local Government Expenditure Database, more commonly known as the Ohio Checkbook. Currently, participation by local governments is permissive.
Forty-six counties have participated in the Ohio Checkbook, although the amount of data and the frequency with which data has been submitted varies.
