Status: 1st Hearing in Senate Medicaid (March 7, 2023)

Description: The bill requires the Ohio Department of Medicaid to ensure that all applicants for a Medicaid program subject to the Medicaid Estate Recovery Program are notified about the details of the program before they enroll. 

The Medicaid Estate Recovery Program is required by federal law and requires the Ohio Department of Medicaid to seek repayment or recovery from the estates of deceased Medicaid recipients.
