Description: The bill allows the owner of real property or their designated agent to request the county sheriff, a police officer, constable, or bailiff to immediately remove a person unlawfully occupying a residential premises under certain circumstances. The law enforcement agency may charge a fee and is not liable to the unauthorized occupant or any other party for damage to, destruction of, or loss of property.

The bill also creates new criminal offenses for activities with a fraudulent deed. Knowingly presenting a fraudulent deed, lease agreement, or other instrument to convey property rights is a first-degree misdemeanor, while advertising the sale or lease of a property the individual has no lawful ownership in is a first-degree felony.
