Lame Duck ended bright and early this morning, with the House adjourning at 6:14 a.m. The Senate had adjourned 30 minutes earlier at 5:45 a.m.
This week's Statehouse Report will include a broader recap of the bills passed in Lame Duck, but in the meantime we are summarizing some notable victories for counties from the main spending bill that passed yesterday, House Bill 45.
- $7.5 million for replacement electronic pollbooks and associated technology.
- $30 million in state-level ARPA funds for county JFS departments to assist in Medicaid redeterminations when the Public Health Emergency ends.
- Allocation of $250 million for another round of water and sewer grants.
- Permits the second publication of a county delinquent property tax list to be made online, provided the first is made in a newspaper of general circulation.
