Description: The bill creates two programs in the Ohio Housing Finance Agency to provide grants to certain homeowners. One program, called the Save the Dream Ohio Program, would provide homeowners with grants to help pay delinquent or future mortgage payments. The other, called the Save the Dream Ohio Utility Assistance Plus Program, would provide grants to homeowners to cover utility costs. Included in the program's definition of "utilities" is property taxes.
Homeowners who are 65 years or older, are disabled, or are the caretaker of a disabled individual are eligible if their adjusted gross income is less than $75,000.
