Description: The bill sets the minimum wage for 2026 at the greater of $11 per hour or the rate set under current law. The bill then increases the minimum wage by $1 per hour annually until it reaches $15 per hour in 2030. The minimum wage is then annually adjusted by inflation as set out in the Ohio Constitution.
Under current law, the minimum wage is set by increasing the prior year's rate by the consumer price index at the end of the preceding September, rounded to the nearest five cents. For 2025, the state minimum wage is $10.70 an hour.
