Description: The Transportation Budget funds transportation-related programs and changes transportation-related policies.

Analysis by CCAO is ongoing, but current findings are below.

• The bill requires the Treasurer of State to deposit 2% of the tax's total revenue to the Highway Operating Fund before making allocations under the motor fuel tax distribution formula. This will reduce the amount distributed through the formula by $24 million per fiscal year. This 2% diversion has been in place since SFY 2016.
  
  
• Overall, the bill expects funding for counties from the gasoline excise tax fund to increase by $136.2 million over the biennium.
