Description: The bill creates the Child Care Cred Program within the Department of Children and Youth, under which an employee’s child care costs shall be covered equally by the employee, the employee’s employer, and DCY. Participation is voluntary, and the employee and employer must meet eligibility criteria.
The employer may cover part or all of the employee's portion. DCY's portion will only be covered if enough funding is available. The bill appropriates $10 million in SFY 2026 for the program.
