Description: The bill prohibits any public employer from agreeing to a collective bargaining agreement that provides paid leave or any other form of compensation for a public employee who engages in union activities that involve advocating for or against a political candidate or for or against any federal, state, or local ballot measure.
Importantly, using accrued personal leave by an employee for these purposes is not a violation of the bill’s provisions.
