Description: The bill makes peace officers, firefighters, and emergency medical workers diagnosed with a psychiatric condition that arose out of the course of their employment eligible for up to a year of compensation and benefits under the Workers' Compensation Law. The condition does not need to be connected to a physical injury.

This essentially allows peace officers, firefighters, and emergency medical workers suffering from PTSD due to work-related circumstances to be eligible for workers' compensation.
