Description: The bill allows concealed handgun licensees or qualifying adults to carry a handgun into a building or structure that contains a courtroom. The terms of the bill do not apply if the building in question is a courthouse, the building is not a government facility of the state or a political subdivision, if the court or the office of the clerk of courts are operating, and if the governing body with control over the building has not passed a statute, ordinance, or policy that permits an individual to carry a handgun in the building.
