The County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) released the following statement following Gov. Mike DeWine’s March 16, 2020 press conference:

“We respect Gov. DeWine’s and Secretary LaRose’s request to delay the Ohio primary until June 2nd. This was undoubtedly a difficult decision, but one that was ultimately necessary to protect the health of countless Ohioans. We look forward to working with Gov. DeWine and Secretary LaRose in addressing the impact this will have on counties. We continue to strongly support the governor’s consistent leadership and recognize Secretary LaRose’s steadfast partnership with counties on election administration.”
