Description: The bill allows for the creation of community solar facilities, generally defined as a single facility that generates electricity via solar energy that is located in Ohio, has at least three subscribers, and has a nameplate capacity of 10 megawatts or less (or 20 megawatts if located on a distressed site).
The bill also creates a pilot program for the use of community solar facilities throughout the state, not to exceed 1,500 megawatts in aggregate capacity.
